Finding Materials & Tools for Preservation, Display, & Storage

A variety of products are advertised today as "acid-free," "preservation safe, " or "museum quality." Beware, such claims can be incorrect and misleading due to they are not standardized. "Archival-quality" is the term used by the conservation profession for materials that resist deterioration themselves, provide physical protection and support, and don't damage their contents chemically. Unfortunatly this term has also been misused. For quality assurance, purchase supplies from vendors that specialize in conservation & preservation materials.
